What we store
If you enable sync, we store the books, highlights, notes, AI conversations, and paired-device details you send from KOReader. Device access tokens are stored only as hashes.
Services
Clerk handles account registration and sign-in. Supabase stores synced library data. Polar processes payments; we never see your card details.
Explanations
Where your highlighted passages go depends on how the plugin is set up.
With your own API key, your device sends the selected passage directly to the AI provider configured in your plugin, such as OpenRouter or OpenAI, under that provider’s privacy terms. It does not pass through this service.
On Lunote Plus, your device sends the passage to us and we forward it to our AI provider on your behalf. We record the model used, the token counts and the cost of each request so we can meter your allowance. We do not store the passage or the explanation for that purpose — those are only saved if you sync them to your library.
Deletion
You can remove a paired device from the pairing page. Deleting your account through Clerk deletes its synced books, highlights, notes, conversations, pairing codes, and devices from this service.
